stormy weather and paper dolls

tuesday was an oddly stormy winter day and the girls were quietly sitting indoors, when all of a sudden rebecca hopped onto the trunk in all her dramatic flare and shouted "i'm bored! lets do something fun!!"

so addy suggested paper dolls.

bff adventures: oscars and another surprise!

it was molly's first visit back to see emily since they came into our family and they were so exited to see each other! first emily introduced molly to some of her new friends here at mom's. then they went into the family room to watch the academy awards!

 everything is so glamorous in hollywood! their favorite dress was penelope cruz's! she looked like a princess! and their favorite part was the cirque du soleil performance, so thrilling!

but the best part of the night came during a commercial break!...

 look who came to live with emily!

 this is deedee! she is my mom's new "just like you" doll (#55). mom decided emily needed a companion to stay here with her. she looks just like a child version of my mom, and mom's childhood nickname at camp was deedee!

 the three girls hit it right off... i think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship trio!

blue day

 while recovering from the flu i decided to have a blue day and dressed all the girls in their bluest dresses.

 it's very soothing to the eyes isn't it :)

not much makes me feel so good and happy like my dolls do!!

new friends!!!

welp, i really wasn't planning on buying anymore dolls buuuuuut i went to the ag store and, well, here's the story...

my mom wanted a doll table for a little tea set she has for my nieces to play with. she loved molly's table because my mom's grandma had an actual table just like it and she has very fond memories sitting around it as a little girl. so she just recently bought molly's table. then she was thinking it would be fun to have an ag doll at her house for my nieces to play with, plus she just wanted one of her own. so she was going to eventually get emily because she loves her outfit. so here is where i come in...

i went to the ag store to originally look at and possibly buy the new cecile and marie grace spring dresses but while looking around i realized i needed to have molly to complete my collection because she is one of the original three and with all the rumors of her archival i thought maybe i should go ahead and get her. there is something so charming and captivating about molly. i never thought too much about her until my friend brought her molly doll over and when i held her i feel in love with her. so with all this i couldn't say no to her. but the problem was if i bough molly mom would have been so jealous because she wants emily. so i thought awe what the heck i'll buy both, i mean you save $14 by doing that!! hehehe :) it was really fun to surprise mom and now we can play with them together!! i'm thinking about featuring a reoccurring molly and emily best friend storyboard on my blog. emily will live at mom's and molly will live with me and my other girls but molly will frequently visit her dear friend emily, maybe mom will even let emily come have sleep overs with us! this is so exciting i've never had a best friend set!

valentine's day is not a real favorite holiday of mine but it's girlie so it's fun. you get to wear lacy, frilly, pink, red, or purple dresses and eat lots of sweets!
we kept it low key. each of the girls put on their pinkest outfit and made valentines for each other.

we just sat around eating sweets and treats and looking as cute as could be.

we are full of love... and chocolate!
