Julie Gets Pampered

My mom and I took my niece to get her Julie's ears pierced for her birthday at the American Girl store.

Here is Julie before the piercing... She was a little nervous ;)

And here she is with her beautifully pierced ears!
She's still smiling so it must not have hurt too bad ;)

Mom decided to really spoil my niece and let her choose a hair style for Julie to get done at the American Girl Salon.
Both Julie and my niece were very excited! She looks so cute in her purple cape!!

Not long after we got there another girl that looked shockingly like Julie sat in a salon chair right next to Julie! ;)

One of the cool things about their salon is that they have mirrors over the hair stylist so you can watch them work in the reflexion.

ALMOST DONE!!
Getting your hair done takes a lot of patience!

And here is the finished product!
SSSOOOO PRETTY!!!!!!!!
Her hair looked so glossy and smooth!
It's amazing how they got the kinks from her braid all flattened out!
I like the way the twists accentuate her shinny blond hair.

My niece picked red and green ribbons so Julie can be all ready for Christmas.

She looks stunning with her hair all pulled back off her sweet face!

She wasn't done yet. Her hair was damp so she had to let it dry while hanging out with some other nice girls on the shelves.

We shopped around a bit but my niece was anxious to get Julie back.
The stylist got our receipt...

...then handed her over! :)

She was so happy to have Julie back in her arms looking all "dolled" up and fabulous now!!

I think she looks pretty pleased with her little AG friend, don't you!?

Look at these beautiful faces!
My mom sure does know how to treat a girl to special birthday outing!

WE LOVE AG!!!
Have you ever gotten your doll's hair done or ears pierced at American Girl?

Thanksgiving

Did you have a happy Thanksgiving?

We sure did!!
My favorite part of Thanksgiving is watching the Macy's Parade!
Rebecca and I went to my parents in our jammies (Mom gave me her jammies for my birthday!..plus more that I will post about soon). It was a really relaxing morning all curled up with my little Beckie. Mom and Dad cooked a really yummy breakfast too!
Yay! I look forward to this all year!

Rebecca especially enjoyed watching all the Broadway Musical bits [of course] :)
She also loved watching the Parade because it takes place in her home town which she is very proud of.

We loved the new Hello Kitty balloon....wow-- sure is a big Hello Kitty!!!!

Ok the most exciting part of watching the Parade wasn't in the parade at all. It was the American Girl commercial that THE Rebecca Rubin stared in!!!! We all new she would be famous one day but boy oh boy we didn't think she'd make her premier during one of the most watched television programs!
Did any of you see her commercial?
I was so proud of her! ;)
I was also very pleased to see AG choose a historical doll to feature in their commercial. It was a precious commercial... The best I've seen AG produce thus far.

The parade always ends with my favorite guy :)
And that's when you know Christmas has officially begun!

As a bonus picture here is me and that special guy at Silver Dollar City.
Mom and I went down there again this weekend it was so fun and Christmasie!
I'm very thankful for all the blessings God has given me.
I have a very beautiful and joyfilled life.
And I want to take a minute to thank my followers and viewers. I love sharing my photos and stories with you! Thanks for taking a peek into my heart.
May you be blessed with
Peace, Joy, Hope, and Love
Happy Holidays!!
