as we hit the heat of the summer and record breaking temps are all we hear about you are probably finding yourself thirsting for a cool refreshing drink.

where that might be enough for your body your soul requires a sweeter substance to quench its thirst. to nourish your soul there is only one source to tap into. J-E-S-U-S :)

nothing makes me feel more refreshed than when i spend time with god. if my spirits are low and i feel gloomy i either read the bible, pray, or try to do something to serve the lord. then wow do i feel better fast!! john 4:13-14 reminds us that if we rely on things on earth only it won't be enough. only god can give us ALL that we need.

bff adventures: christmas in july!

 what better way to cool off this hot summer than doing a christmas themed photo shoot!!

if you've been reading my blog for a while you know i loooove christmas time!! if you haven't seen my christmas posts check out the "it's beginning to look a lot like christmas" post as well as the others during december 2011.

it's only 149 days until christmas!! and i'm so excited (already)!!!

so molly and felicity did a "christmas in july" photo shoot at my mom's with deedee and emily.

here is my green eyed beauty, felicity.

bff adventures: fun and games

 i just have to say i have such a sweet boyfriend!! :) he found a lady selling things for american girl dolls for me and bought a few fun items from her. i got a "girl scouts" tin full of original pleasant company hangers (real excited about that!), a little retro radio, and an american girl game...so cute!!

molly and i decided to take it all to emily's and deedee's to play with.

the doggies enjoyed listening to the radio at the girls' feet.

the game is A-DOR-ABLE!! each girl gets a little book/box and 5 cards.

the cards have wishes on them like this one.

 out of your five cards you have to decide which ones have wishes that best fit your friends. then you slide the cards into the slit on their boxes.

next you get to rate the wishes you received in order, from favorite to least favorite wish. there are little slots inside the book to line your cards up in.

 once your organized each girl shows what she got in order and finds out who gave her what. you earn points based on how high your friends ranked the wish you gave them. bonus!!:  you get to use a cute little star key to turn your score keeper!

 you keep playing rounds until somebody reaches 8 points and that girl wins the game.

the girls had lots of fun and eventually played without keeping score because it was fun to discover new things about each other.

of course like good little girls they picked up their game and tidied everything back up :) it is very important to care of your belongings and make your home look neat.

while we were gone

 emily and molly aren't the only ones around here having all the fun! while we were gone deedee stayed at my house with my girls. felicity and deedee, who have become the best of friends themselves, played and play and played!! it was like a nonstop slumber party all week!

they watched movies and ate junk food late into the night.

even when they finally forced themselves to go to bed they would stay up telling stories and giggling until the wee hours of the morning :)

eh what do ya do?...

girls just gotta have fun!! hehehe

it's been a pretty eventful summer for us so far.

bff adventures: florida part 7

heading home :(

on our last day we opened up emily's and molly's big purchase from down town disney!!

 they got the cutest mini mouse costume sets!!

we were so excited to find these! (thanks to aunt karen...it was her idea to look for them)

 of course the girls wanted to wear them on the flight home!!

once we got home all the girls and pets were so excited to see each other and talk about the trip.

emily and molly told the other girls all about our outings, showed pictures, and shared souvenirs.

this was one of the most memorable trips ever!!

i want to give a special thanks to my family in orlando...

you guys are great hosts and you really know how to show us a good time!!!! we love you! xo
