BFF Adventures: Finally Molly Comes Over Again!

When I got over to my parents' house for Sunday dinner with my laundry basket I felt a rustling under my dirty clothes. I pushed the clothing aside and found two little stow aways!!
Molly giggled, shrugged her shoulders, and said, "Well you forgot to bring me to see my BFFs again so I had to take matters into my own hands!"
Then she ran off the the nursery to see her dear dear friends...

"SURPRISE!" Molly yelled as she entered the room. It was only a matter of milliseconds until she had fallen into Emily's arms and the rest of the girls hopped on top! The pups were barking at the base of this loving dog-pile. Bennett and Yank were just as happy to see each other as the girls were to have Molly back to visit.

Things finally calmed down and Molly asked, "So what have you guys been up to today?"
Emily replied, "Well, we were just about to begin a tea party with our dolls. Shall we all play?"

The girls circled around a tiny red gingham tablecloth covered table and set up their cherry tea set.
"Do you take sugar and cream, my lady?" Molly asked in a thick elegant British accent.
Emily smiled, "Indeed, just as a proper lady should. Two lumps please."
"Could you please pass the crumpets and clotted cream?" Caroline asked in her make-believe British accent.
"Oh yes, I do love clotted cream." Anna added.
"Uhhh, what in the world is clotted cream? Sounds kinda gross." DeeDee asked scrunching her nose up.
The girls chuckled. Emily followed with an explanation of the sweet English condiment. They continued on with their imaginary tea party until DeeDee again interrupted this pretend world.
"Let's do something with more action! Wanna get out the bowling set?"

Molly went first. She missed on her first try; knocked over six on her second try.
"Good form, good form Molly. May I have a go at it?" Emily quipped as she took her stance. She calmly formulated her plan of action then perfectly swayed her arm forward with only a little flick of the wrist and of course scored a perfect strike.
"Oh you would." Caroline muttered.
"Ok Ok Ok. Lemme get in there!" DeeDee confidently strutted up, grabbed the heavy ball and brashly went to swing her arm. Lacking the poise and control Emily has, DeeDee threw herself off balance, tripped on her own two feet, and went sliding into the pins.
"Oh DeeDee." The girls all sighed and shook their heads at their clumsy friend.
Legs in the air, eyes closed, the cute klutz asked, "Does that count as a strike?"
Anna kindly pulled DeeDee to her feet. She sweetly suggested, "Maybe you should have your glasses on."
"Oh. I didn't realize I wasn't wearing them. Huh, no wonder everything looked so weird."

Later the girls went to the parlor to play.
Walking into the room Molly was instantly stopped in her tracks by the breathtaking painting on the easel.
"Who painted that horse!?"
Caroline humbly cleared her throat, "I've sort of taken up painting."
"Yeah and she's real good at it too! Show her your sketches and stuff Caroline!" Hollered DeeDee.
"Aren't they beautiful," uttered Anna. "I love to come in here and watch her work."
"She truly is quite talented." Emily added. "Would you all like to play with these paper dolls now?"
"Yea those are neat-o!" said the guest of honor.
Each girl took turns picking out beautifully detailed paper clothing to adorn the tiny flat doll. While they leisurely played the BFFs also caught up with each other. They discussed their new activities, progress in school, how their families were, and even up coming plans. Like true friends they listened carefully to each other and accepted their differences and appreciated their similarities.

When it was time to go Grammy's girls again clobbered Molly with loving squeezes, hugs, and kisses.
"Hey let's make a packed to not let so much time pass before we are together again," Molly challenged.
"Right-o. Best Friends Forever!" Emily chimed placing her hand on Molly's outstretch hand.
"I just love you guys."
"And we love you Molly-B-Golly."
